They share one account, and a Notylus Basic or Pro plan includes TranslitPro Plus — but they are sold separately, and TranslitPro Plus on its own does not include Notylus. TranslitPro is the typing engine: Latin letters in, another script out. Notylus is the workspace those words live in — notes, web clips, spaces, folders, language tags, sharing and export. If all you want is to convert text, the TranslitPro site is the shorter path, and it is free to use.
Yes — the editor itself is free to use on the TranslitPro site, with no account: the same writing surface, the same 13 scripts, the same keyboard. What an account adds is everything that has to persist — your notes, spaces, folders, language tags and sync.
No — the web app works on its own. The free browser extension, from the Chrome Web Store, is what makes capture fast: clip an article, a selection, or one element of a page, and write notes without leaving the tab. It also lets you type in another script on the sites you choose.
Thirteen scripts ship built in, including Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian, Bulgarian, Rusyn, Tajik, Kazakh, Serbian, Armenian, Georgian, Greek, Hebrew, and Lithuanian. You can also define your own transliteration system.
